Like the name implies, the town figuratively grew quickly in the morning and was dead by dusk, ghost town time frame.
Born 1866; Died 1880. Since Reveille is at the end of a rough road and I'd had more than my share of flat tires that trip, I chose to by-pass Reveille. Maybe next time but when I'm there, I'll be sure to check out the reports of "many incised characters of various kinds" (petroglyphs), as reported in "The WPA Guide to 1930's Nevada". Others have made it to Reveille.
